Archipelago Boat Tour
Monday June 22, 2009 at 13:30.

Departure: Strandvägen, Kajplats 15 (Nybroplan, Map)
Time: The boat m/s Östanå departures at 13:30 and returns to same quay as departure at 16:00.
Voucher: The registered people have received a voucher by email. This voucher has to be exchanged against a boat ticket in the Strömma Kanalbolaget ticket booth on Strandvägen before departure.
Please note: Please make sure to be on the quay some 15 minutes in advance so you have sufficient time to exchange your voucher against your boat ticket.

Staff from Congrex will be on the quay carrying a sign reading “Seventh IUTAM Symposium on Laminar-Turbulent Transition”. Please do not hesitate to contact our staff on-site if you have question or need assistance in any matters.

The tour lasts 2.5 hours, and will show you views of Stockholm from the water before setting off for the archipelago. It will take you past some of the archipelago’s 24,000 islands, and the on-board guide will tell you all about the typical archipelago sights and Stockholm’s magnificent location between Lake Mälaren and the sea. The tour is guided in Swedish and English.
The vessels are two of the archipelago’s classic boats, built back in 1906 and 1931.

Cost per person: 210 SEK, including 6% VAT.

No food or beverage is included in the price, however for passengers wishing to eat on board, we recommend the boat’s cafeteria, which serves warm and cold beverages and sandwiches, as well as salads and pies.

Architecturally Stockholm’s City Hall is one of Sweden’s foremost examples of “national romanticism” and was inaugurated on Midsummer’s Eve in 1923. The City Hall Tower topped by three crowns, the Swedish national coat of arms, rises 106 meters above the edifice. The City Hall with its many offices, meeting rooms, council chambers and stupendous banquet halls provides a workplace for politicians as well as civil servants.

This Reception at one of the City’s most beautiful buildings is included in your registration fee for the Symposium.
