Mihai Mihaescu new Director of Competence Center for Gas Exchange
Associate Prof. Mihai Mihaescu has recently been appointed as the director of the Competence Center for Gas Exchange (CCGEx)
CCGEx ( www.ccgex.kth.se ) focuses on research regarding gas management, heat transfer, and turbocharging in modern power-train systems for vehicles. The research within CCGEx aims to make engines more effective and environment-friendly, thus to decrease fuel consumption without losing performance, lowering the emission of hazardous substances and controlling sound generation in the engine gas handling system. The Centre is a combined effort between KTH, the Swedish Energy Agency and leading industry in Europe (Scania CV, Volvo Car Corporation, Volvo GTT, BorgWarner Turbo Systems, Wärtsilä).
