Sandy's course predicted through numerical simulations

Published Oct 26, 2017

Numerical prediction of flows, including prediction of weather is increasingly important. At the ECMWF where our former board member Erland Källén is research director they were, due to their advanced model, able to make early predictions of the storm Sandy. It is an example of the social and economic importance of our applications within FLOW.
