Three Marie Skłodowska-Curie ITN to FLOW reserchers

Published May 27, 2020

At the latest call of H2020 Marie Skłodowska-Curie Innovative Training Networks (ITN) three projects involving FLOW researchers, in a hard competition, have been granted funding by EU.

  • “YIELDGAP - YIELD-stress fluid flow beyond Bingham: closing the GAP in modelling real-world yield-stress materials”. The consortium is led by Outi Tammisola. Activities at KTH will be, besides Outi, by Luca Brandt and Fredrik Lundell. The consortium consists of 8 universities and 5 companies. The funding is 3.2 MEUR, whereof 26% to KTH.

  • “INSPIRE - INSpiring Pressure gain combustion Integration, Research, and Education" - KTH Engineering Mechanics will manage about 280,000 EUR out of the total 3.9 MEUR. INSPIRE is aimed at studying Pressure Gain Combustion solutions for the efficient use of carbon neutral fuels such as Hydrogen. Activities at KTH will be led by Mihai Mihaescu.

  • “SSeCoID - Stability and Sensitivity Methods for Flow Control and Industrial Design”. The main objective of SSeCoID ́s research is to develop new methods and tools for design of aircrafts in order to enhance their industrial performance. KTH Engineering Mechanics will manage about 280,000 EUR out of the total 4.1 MEUR. Activities at KTH will be led by Ardeshir Hanifi.
