Novel extraction methodology by linear response of turbulence and its applications

Abstract: The linear response of physical phenomena has been known for a long time and has allowed descriptions of many physical phenomena as linear response theory, such as Ohm's law, where the motion of electrons in a metal, which is never simple, produces a beautiful linear result from a macroscopic point of view. In the present talk it will be shown that the linear response in turbulence can be identified experimentally and, in turn, the possibility of elucidating non-linear phenomena of turbulence from its linear response will be introduced with examples.
