FLOW researchers in a new Marie Curie Doctoral Network
Our colleagues Outi Tammisola, Ricardo Vinuesa and Lisa Prahl Wittberg have been awarded EU funding in a hard competition through the Marie Curie Doctoral Network ‘SCALE - Industry empowerment to multiphase fluid dynamics simulations using artificial intelligence and statistical methods on modern hardware architectures at Scale ‘. The main objective of SCALE is to develop new simulation methods and reduced order models using physics-informed and data-driven methods for multi-phase, trans/supercritical and non-Newtonian fluid flows, which also involves creating computational and experimental databases. The research at KTH will focus on simulations and machine learning of non-Newtonian turbulent flows.
The project is coordinated by Universitat de Magdeburg. The total amount of funding is 2.8 M€, whereof the KTH share is 300k€
